About Us

Who are we?

Officially founded on the 10th December 2021 (Human Rights Day), The Humanitarian Network (THN) is an innovative educational platform dedicated to revolutionising humanitarianism through our bespoke training, mentoring, community and creative opportunity.

THN is a hub for humanitarians to unite across the globe to learn, connect, grow and come together to promote human welfare in the most appropriate and empowering way; in a bid to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found.

We are cultivating a new era of humanitarians, aid workers, activists and advocates ensuring they have the strong foundation for a successful future, whilst simultaneously supporting our incredible partner organisations to achieve their long-term vision and goals.

We encourage community, connection and learning and development in order to become a resilient catalyst for change. We believe that we are #StrongerTogether.

Here at The Humanitarian Network we equip you with the skills you need to become a resilient, forward thinking humanitarian in today's world, ensuring that we are decolonising humanitarianism and dismantling archaic teachings within the sector. We provide a safe space for people to learn, re-learn, discuss, share, network and build a community of likeminded, genuine people who all have the same goal.

Our motto is; harness the power of compassion for communities in crisis.

Join us on our journey as humanitarians, as we go from strength to strength to help create a better world for all.

What are our values?

Compassion, Humanity, Unity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence.

We are neutral and impartial, meaning that we advocate to help those in need, regardless of religion, race, nationality, class or political opinions.

We lead with compassion, kindness and empathy.

The Humanitarian Network is open to all.

Our Founder - a brief introduction

Our Founder and CEO, Chloe, is a Humanitarian Professional, multi-award-winning Communications Specialist and Human Rights advocate, activist and UN Women Delegate based in the United Kingdom. Chloe is passionate about equality, equity, civil rights, human rights, international humanitarian law and more.

Separately from The Humanitarian Network (THN), Chloe currently works for part of the world's largest humanitarian movement, the Red Cross, where she leads on the International Programme, Emergency Crisis Appeals, and Migration and Displacement Programmes for Social Media / Digital Comms.

"I created The Humanitarian Network (THN) to unite fellow humanitarians across the globe to learn, connect, share tools and resources, grow and come together to form a community of compassion and mutual understanding. THN is something I wish I had when I had first started this important work.

I am driven by my compassion and commitment to promote human welfare and protect human rights. I hope to utilise my passion, experience, knowledge and skills to educate and cultivate a network of aspiring humanitarians a-like within a safe space. I simply want to ensure people are equipped with the important tools and knowledge, and that they have the support and resources at their fingertips.

I am constantly inspired by the incredible people I work with and I have seen first-hand the strength and power there is when likeminded people unite together to learn, develop and educate in a bid to create positive change."

Anyone can become a humanitarian – no matter where you are in your journey, know that if you lead with genuine compassion, you will thrive and you’ll enable others to do so too.

If you’re interested in exclusive resources as well as mentorship, training, access to incredible networking opportunities, tools, insights, our unique community and so much more; we would love to welcome you and support you on your journey - no matter what stage you're at.
